The history of Amideon began in 1981 when Intepro Limited was formed by the directors and management of Amideon to design and manufacture power electronic test equipment for telecom, industrial and aerospace industries. Ten years later, in 1991, with an annual turnover of over €10 million, Intepro was sold to Schaffner EMV AG.
Foreseeing opportunities in new product markets and applications, the same directors decided to enter new business areas. Utilising both experience and market foresight they exploited a number of market opportunities and invested in over 20 technology companies.
Amideon emerged from this period of investing and opportunity exploitation. 100% owned by the directors since its inception, Amideon has grown at an impressive rate with orders of €5 Million in its first year and up to €20 million in 2008. The company has succeeded to turn a profit annually while maintaining a high level of investment in new product development, market expansion and acquisitions. Today as a result, Amideon is a truly international company employing people and servicing customers around the globe.
At Amideon, we believe that innovation is the essence of exploiting new frontiers.
how we work
Our strategy is to be partners with our clients for specialist technology domains. We believe that developing a long term relationship with our clients is essential to our clients and our own business success. Thus we work with a small number of long term clients.
Solutions provided are typically customised according to client specifications. We work closely in assessing requirements to design and develop a solution satisfying both technical and financial criteria. In order to provide innovative solutions in the required time frame, for complex projects, Amideon uses its team of both internal and external experts to ensure that research and development and multidiscipline integration are optimised.
