Our Latest Investments
  • Kinesense Motion Detection Software: Amideon have invested in video analytics, used for suspicious and unusual behavior recognition software in CCTV cameras.  With the video surveillance market growing annually at 30%, we believe that this domain has significant growth opportunities. This project is current in the development phase and Amideon IP is project managing the R&D whilst mapping the commercialisation strategy.

Live CCTV: Kinesense managed live CCTV streams.

The software monitors all the cctv being fed into it, sorts the videos based on activity (so that operators are always looking at the most important camera feed) and also generates an alert whenever an important event happens. The user defines what is important for each camera i.e. someone running might be important in a hallway, a person loitering might be important in a car park. The Alerts are logged on the left hand side of the screen, and clicking on an alert brings up a window which allows you to review the event, add extra information, and store or forward it to another user.

Video Search: Looking for a clip of an incident.
Search a video for a group of people

Search for running man in white clothes

Kinesense is a video search engine designed for CCTV. It is common for security staff to spend a lot of time retrieving video of an incident, searching back and forth for the important clip. Kinesense automates this; the user selects the region of interest (the full screen or any smaller part of it) and specifies any information they have on what they are looking for. In the first video above the user is searching for a group of people walking in a car park. In the second, the task is to find video of a person known to have run through a scene wearing a white hoodie. The search generates a timeline with color-coded markers indicating when an event matching the search happened. Clicking on the event blob instantly retrieves the video clip.

Plug in Modules: Track, Zoom, Blur, Export
Kinesense included tools for blurring parts of the video to preserve privacy of uninvolved people, to zoom and track a suspect, and to export the clip as a regular video file to share with colleagues and the public. The software runs on a standard PC which can be installed in the control room without disrupting existing CCTV equipment.
